Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effects of humanized care under the quality care model on self-efficacy and emotions among athletic patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods: 117 athletic patients with diabetic nephropathy treated in our hospital from June 2020 to June 2021 were selected as study subjects. 117 athletic patients were randomly assigned to receive conventional care (control group, 59 athletic patients) and humanized care under the quality care model based on conventional care (research group, 58 athletic patients), and the two groups were compared in terms of glycemic and renal function indexes, self-efficacy scores, mood scores, and quality of life scores. Results: After the intervention, fasting blood glucose (FPG), 2h postprandial blood glucose (PBG), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), urinary micro protein and urinary protein excretion rate were all lower in the research group than in the control group (p<0.05). After the intervention, the research group had higher Diabetes Management Self-Efficacy Scale (DMSES) scores and Brief Health Status Questionnaire (SF-36) scores than the control group (P<0.05), and lower anxiety self-assessment scale (SAS) and depression self-assessment scale (SDS) scores than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Humanized care under the quality care model can effectively reduce blood glucose levels and improve renal function in athletic patients with diabetic nephropathy, while strengthening athletic patients' self-efficacy, reducing negative emotions such as anxiety and depression, and improving quality of life, with high clinical application value.
