Abstract

Objective: To investigate the current situation of hope level in athletic patients with advanced lung cancer receiving immunotherapy and analyze its influencing factors. Methods: A total of 240 athletic patients with advanced lung cancer who received immunotherapy in a Classⅲ Grade A hospital and a cancer hospital in Hangzhou from December 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the survey objects by the convenient sampling method. We used the general information questionnaire, Herth Hope Index (HHI), and Quality of life instruments for cancer Pations-Lung cancer, QLICP-LU). Results: The total score of hope level of advanced lung cancer athletic patients receiving immunotherapy was (34.38±3.30). Hope was significantly correlated with quality of life (r=0.384, P < 0.01) and four dimensions of physical function (r=0.379, P < 0.01), psychological function (r=0.295, P < 0.01), social function (r=0.396, P < 0.01) and specific module (r=0.145, P < 0.05) Positive correlation. The results of binary Logistic regression model showed that work situation (withdrawal), duration of disease, psychological function and social function were the promoting factors of hope in athletic patients with advanced lung cancer receiving immunotherapy, and common symptoms and side effects were the hindering factors of hope in athletic patients with advanced lung cancer receiving immunotherapy. Conclusion: The hope level of athletic patients with advanced lung cancer receiving immunotherapy is above the medium level. To improve the quality of life of athletic patients with lung cancer, make full use of all support systems, strengthen effective communication with patients, do a good job in health education, promote the rehabilitation of body and mind of patients, and further improve the hope level of athletic patients.
