Abstract

Objective: This study assesses the impact of incorporating structured physical activity into evidence-based rehabilitation nursing on the quality of life in athletic patient’s post-femoral fracture surgery. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of clinical data from athletic patients who underwent femoral fracture surgery at our hospital between October 2019 and October 2022. Sixty athletic patients were divided into two groups: one group (n=30) received evidence-based rehabilitation nursing that included structured physical activity programs, and the other group (n=30) received conventional nursing care. Measures of rehabilitation efficacy, Harris scores for hip function, health literacy, quality of life, and incidence of complications were compared between the groups. Results: The group receiving evidence-based rehabilitation nursing with integrated physical activity showed significantly better outcomes in terms of rehabilitation exercise efficacy, Harris scores, health literacy, and quality of life grades (P<0.05) compared to the control group. Additionally, this group exhibited a lower incidence of complications (P<0.05) and higher levels of nursing satisfaction (P<0.05). Conclusion: Integrating structured physical activity into rehabilitation nursing for patients undergoing femoral fracture surgery significantly enhances the recovery process and improves overall quality of life and hip joint function. These findings support the need for further research and implementation of physical activity-based rehabilitation nursing protocols in orthopedic care to optimize patient outcomes.
