Abstract

To explore the efficacy of meticulous and comfort-oriented nursing based on humanistic care principles in enhancing the quality of life of athletic patients after breast cancer surgery. Methods: This retrospective study reviewed the records of athletic patients who underwent breast cancer surgery at our hospital from February 2021 to February 2022. A total of 100 athletic patients were randomly assigned to either a control group (50 patients) or an observation group (50 patients), with the latter receiving detailed nursing combined with comfort care inspired by humanistic principles. Results: The observation group showed significantly better outcomes in terms of comfort levels, nursing satisfaction, quality of life scores, and compliance rates compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Additionally, significant differences were noted between the groups in psychological well-being, incidence of complications, and visual analog scale (VAS) scores for pain (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Implementing a nursing approach that integrates meticulous attention to detail with comfort-based care underpinned by humanistic values can significantly improve the postoperative quality of life in athletic patients recovering from breast cancer surgery. This approach warrants further exploration and broader application in clinical settings to enhance patient outcomes.
