Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the impact of seamless nursing strategies on the effectiveness of coronary heart disease nursing education, with a focus on enhancing care for athletes with CHD. Methods: Forty registered nurses from our hospital's cardiovascular department, with experience in athlete care, were enrolled from January 2020 to August 2022. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each comprising twenty nurses. The control group received standard nursing education, while the observation group was trained using a seamless nursing approach. We assessed both groups' theoretical knowledge and practical skills, using the Six-dimensional (6D) Nursing Performance Scale and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Satisfaction levels among the nurses were also compared. Results: The observation group demonstrated significantly better outcomes in theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and overall performance compared to the control group (P<0.05). Improvements in the 6D scale scores were notable in both groups post-training, but the observation group achieved significantly higher scores (P<0.05). GSES scores also increased for both groups; however, the observation group exhibited greater improvements (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate in the observation group was significantly higher at 95.00%, compared to 70.00% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The integration of seamless nursing into coronary heart disease nursing education significantly enhances the training outcomes for nurses specializing in athlete care. This approach not only boosts nurses’ confidence and efficacy in their roles but also improves their ability to provide high-quality care to athletes with CHD. Such educational strategies are crucial for advancing cardiac health management in sports settings, reflecting a broader commitment to improving athlete health and wellness.
