Objective The purpose of this study is to explore the application and effect of quality control circle (QCC) in reducing postoperative wound pain in patients with perianal abscess. Methods 48 patients with perianal abscess who underwent surgery in our hospital from August to December 2020 were selected as the control group, and 55 patients who underwent surgery from March to June 2021 were selected as the intervention group. Through the activities of quality control circle, various tools of continuous quality improvement were used to rectify and analyze the postoperative pain of patients with perianal abscess. Finally, the postoperative pain index and nursing satisfaction of patients with perianal abscess in the control group and the intervention group were compared. Results The pain index after dressing change in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group (3.84±1.26vs7.33±1.04, P<0.05). The pain index after defecation in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group (3.56±1.41vs6.94±1.08, P<0.05). In the intervention group, patients' satisfaction with nurses' service attitude, technical level and explanation was improved, and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusions The application of quality control circle can effectively reduce the pain of perianal abscess patients after dressing change and defecation, reduce the pain caused by the disease, and improve the patients' satisfaction with nursing.
