Objective: This study explores the development of gamification strategies in early childhood sports programs through the framework of physical literacy. The primary goal is to identify effective gamification techniques that enhance engagement and foundational skills in young children, ultimately fostering a lifelong engagement in physical activity. Methods: Utilizing a qualitative research design, this study conducted in-depth interviews and focus groups with early childhood education specialists, sports coaches, and physical education researchers. A thematic analysis was applied to investigate the integration of gamification into sports curricula and its impact on developing physical literacy among preschool-aged children. Results: The findings reveal that gamification, when strategically implemented, significantly enhances the motivation and participation levels of young children in sports activities. Key elements of successful gamification include the use of story-driven activities, achievement badges, and interactive challenges that are age-appropriate and aligned with developmental milestones. Moreover, the study highlights that gamification fosters an inclusive environment that accommodates diverse skill levels and learning paces, which is crucial for nurturing physical literacy from an early age. Conclusions: The integration of gamification techniques in early childhood sports programs offers a promising avenue for promoting physical literacy. The strategies identified in this study provide a foundational framework for educators and coaches to design engaging, educational, and developmentally appropriate sports activities. These gamification strategies not only support immediate physical development but also contribute to the long-term goal of cultivating a healthy, active lifestyle among future generations. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies to track the long-term effects of gamified sports programs on children's physical health, social skills, and overall well-being.
