Abstract

In recent years, under the background of depletion of land resources, the ocean as the earth's treasure house of resources has received the attention of all countries, and countries began to pay attention to the development and utilization of marine resources. The South China Sea has a unique geographical advantage and rich oil and gas resources and biological resources, but with the continuous development and utilization of the countries around the South China Sea, the marine ecological environment in the South China Sea is gradually being destroyed, so the marine ecological environment governance has become a major problem that needs to be solved in the South China Sea at present. This paper starts from the general theoretical basis of marine ecological environment governance cooperation, compares the current environmental and legislative status of marine ecological environment governance cooperation in the South China Sea and the current international practice of marine ecological environment governance cooperation in the South China Sea, studies the regional cooperation models of other foreign countries in marine ecological environment governance and analyzes and draws on their experiences. On this basis, we analyze the problems of regional cooperation in marine ecological and environmental governance in the South China Sea and the reasons for the problems, and finally propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
