Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the application effect of infusion evaluation management process in the early identification of infusion-induced exudation and extravasation in infants. Methods Using convenience sampling method, 1200 children hospitalized in the pediatric department of a hospital in Wuhan from January to December 2022 were selected as the study group, and 990 peripheral venous catheter detention days of 600 children from January to June 2022 as the control group as the test group of 600 children from July to December 2022, using the "one look, two, touch, three contrast" evaluation method. Results: The severity of exudation and extravasation in the experimental group decreased than the control group was statistically significant (p <0.05); the experimental group compared the control group (p> 0.05). Conclusion: After optimization, the infant infusion evaluation and management process can identify the infusion-induced exudation and extravasation early, and effectively reduce the severity of the occurrence, which is an effective and reliable evaluation method.
