Abstract

Objective: To establish and apply standardized insulin injection training system for standardized training sports nurses, unify injection process, standardize operation standards, and improve their level of insulin injection knowledge and skills. Methods: The contents of standardized insulin injection training system for standardized training sports nurses were drawn up by evidence-based and group discussion methods, and the standardized insulin injection training system was finally established by Delphi method. In addition, 100 newly recruited sports nurses from Some Grade a Class-three Hospital in Sichuan Province in 2018 were randomly divided into a control group and a test group according to departments. The test group applied the training system. The scores of insulin related theory, identification and injection operation after training were compared. Results: The training system consisted of 6 parts, including insulin classification and function, the use of Insulin, insulin preservation and rapid identification of different insulin, matters needing attention in insulin injection, adverse reaction and treatment of insulin injection, operation drill and practice, with 6 primary indicators and 38 secondary indicators. After training, the score of the test group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.01), with a statistically significant difference. Conclusion: The standardized insulin injection training system determined by Delphi method can improve the level of sports nurses' insulin injection knowledge and skills, and provide scientific basis for improving the standardized training system of sports nurses
