Abstract

Objective: This paper discusses the role of virtual reality balance training in improving the postural stability of the elderly, and a randomized controlled trial was carried out around the mobility of the elderly. Methods: In this trial, 100 athletic patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the needs of randomization, with 50 athletic patients in each group. The control group used virtual reality treadmill training method, and the observation group used treadmill training method alone. Results: There was a significant difference in the data between the control group and the observation group after the experimental intervention. The incidence of falls in the control group was 6.01, and the incidence of falls in the observation group was 8.25% (IRR=0.58, 95%CI: 0.36-0.96; P=0.033;). It is not difficult to see from the trial that the control group used the virtual reality treadmill training method better than the control group of treadmill training method alone. The differences in the 30CS, TGA, and MFES evaluation results between the control group and the observation group were large, which also showed that the control group used the virtual reality treadmill training method to obtain better experimental data, while the observation group used the treadmill training method alone to obtain lower experimental data than the control group. However, it is worth mentioning that, the difference between the control group and the observation group before and after training was also statistically significant. In the investigation of cognition and action ability of the control group and the observation group, it is not difficult to see that there are significant differences in the data obtained from the cognitive ability and action ability test of the control group and the observation group, P < 0.05. In general, the data obtained by the control group were better, and the results obtained were more satisfactory, with significant statistical significance, P > 0.05. Conclusion: The data obtained by the control group were better than those of the observation group, with significant statistical significance. The use of virtual reality treadmill training method can improve the cognition and mobility of the elderly, and has a great effect on improving the physical and mental health and mobility of the elderly.
