Objective: This study aims to investigate the factors influencing respiratory diseases in children and to discuss advancements in clinical treatment, particularly in the context of sports and physical activity. Methods: We reviewed recent literature on the epidemiology, risk factors, and clinical interventions for respiratory diseases in pediatric athletes. This involved an examination of environmental, lifestyle, and sport-specific factors contributing to respiratory conditions among young athletes. Results: The incidence of respiratory diseases in children, particularly those involved in sports, has been increasing. Factors such as intense physical activity, exposure to cold air, and indoor sports environments can exacerbate or trigger respiratory symptoms. The review highlighted that preventive measures and tailored clinical interventions, which consider the unique needs of young athletes, are essential. Treatment progress includes the use of advanced diagnostic tools and personalized treatment plans that accommodate the training schedules and physical demands placed on young athletes. Conclusion: Understanding the specific factors that affect respiratory health in child athletes is crucial for developing targeted interventions. Enhanced awareness and tailored treatment protocols can significantly improve the management and prognosis of respiratory diseases in this population, ensuring safer sports participation and better overall health outcomes.
