Abstract

Objective: This study aims to enhance the complexity and appeal of musical compositions by implementing factorization techniques in polyphonic arrangements, particularly in compositions inspired by athletic themes and dynamics. Methods: We utilized factorization as a mathematical framework to decompose and analyze the structural elements of polyphony, applying this approach to the creation of sports-themed musical pieces. This method was tested by comparing traditional polyphonic compositions with those created using factorization, assessing variables such as listener engagement, sales data, technical quality, and overall satisfaction through both experimental and control groups. Results: The application of factorization significantly enhanced the structural complexity and listener appeal of the compositions. In the experimental group, which utilized factorization, there was a noticeable increase in both user engagement and sales volume compared to the control group that used traditional methods. Technical assessments and satisfaction ratings also showed marked improvements, with the experimental group achieving higher scores. The statistical analysis indicated a significant enhancement in the satisfaction ratings, with an average increase of 7.0 points in the experimental group compared to a 6.8-point increase in the control group. Conclusion: The integration of factorization techniques into polyphonic musical compositions offers a novel approach that benefits the artistic quality and commercial viability of musical works. This method not only enhances the complexity and appeal of the compositions but also aligns well with dynamic and rhythmic themes common in sports, making it a valuable tool for composers looking to innovate within the field of music inspired by athletic endeavors.
