Abstract

This study delves into the nighttime cultural and tourism sectors in Guilin, with a special focus on enhancing the experience for athletic tourists and general visitors. By examining its natural and cultural resources, tourist demographics, current offerings, and supportive environments, the study addresses the unique needs of athletes seeking cultural engagement post-competition or during training breaks. Challenges currently faced by Guilin's nighttime economy are scrutinized, and strategic recommendations are offered to refine these sectors further. Insights from this study pave the way for innovative transformations within Guilin’s tourism landscape, enhancing the vibrancy and economic potential of its nighttime culture and tourism. This approach not only contributes to broader regional development and cultural enrichment but also ensures that the needs of athletic tourists are met, promoting Guilin as a prime destination for sports-centric cultural tourism.
