Objective: To explore the effect of care practice based on Swanson's caring theory on pain, anxiety state, vagus nerve adverse reaction, physiological stress reaction and examination comfort of infertile athletic patients undergoing Hysterosalpingo contrast sonography (HyCoSy). Method: 100 infertile women who received HyCoSy from May 2022 to June 2023 were selected and divided into the routine group and the Care group according to the examination sequence, with 50 cases in each group. The routine group received routine nursing intervention, while the intervention group received nursing intervention based on Swanson's caring theory. The NRS pain score and Stacey grade, anxiety state, incidence of adverse reactions of Vagus nerve, physiological stress response indicators: heart rate (HR), blood oxygen protection degree (SpO2), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and examination comfort were compared between the two groups. Results: The NRS pain scores of the care group were lower than those of the routine group at four time points: balloon intubation (T1), contrast agent injection (T2), 10 minutes after examination (T3), and 30 minutes after examination (T4), with statistically significant differences (P<0.05); In the Stacey grading of the care group, the proportion of grade 1-2 pain (92%) was higher than that of the routine group (75%), while the proportion of grade 3 pain (8%) was lower than that of the routine group (25%); There was no statistically significant difference in T-AI scores between the two groups Before entering the group (P>0.05), but there was a statistically significant difference in S-AI scores between the two groups after the examination (P<0.05); The incidence of adverse reactions of Vagus nerve was 25% in the routine group and 8% in the care group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05); Before, during, and after the examination, the levels of HR, SBP, and DBP indicators in the care group were lower than those in the routine group (P<0.05); After examination, the Kolcaba comfort score in the care group (65.02±8.12) was higher than that in the routine group (58.65±7.63), with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion: The care practice based on Swanson's caring theory can reduce the pain level, anxiety state and physiological stress reaction of HyCoSy, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions of Vagus nerve and improve the comfort of examination.
